About the Role
This role is for a supervising social worker supporting and supervising foster carers. Responsibilities include assessing potential carers and providing post-approval support. You will join an experienced and stable team.
* Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration and recent experience in children’s services.
* Knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
* Support foster parents to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people.
* Monitor and support foster carers to ensure they provide a safe, nurturing environment.
* Ensure carers understand their roles, responsibilities, and standards, including handling complaints.
* Provide regular supervision to foster carers as per policies.
* Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
* Participate in an 'out of hours' support rota.
* Occasionally undertake Form F Assessments.
* Attend panel meetings as required.
About You
Ideal Candidate:
* Social work qualification
* Experience in children and families services
* DBS enhanced check for regulated activity
* Participation in on-call rota
