Welcome to Vermuyden Vets, a trailblazing small animal practice located in the heart of Goole. We have recently undergone a breath‑taking transformation, expanding our small animal services and setting the stage for even greater achievements. Our practice boasts cutting‑edge facilities, including digital X‑ray, ultrasound and a full in‑house laboratory.

Our close‑knit team currently consists of an experienced part‑time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, supported by a fantastic group of Animal Care Assistants and Client Care colleagues. We are passionate about delivering exceptional care while creating a supportive and enjoyable working environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working within our recently refurbished practice, you’ll provide routine and emergency healthcare to small animal patients, building strong relationships with clients while managing cases from consultation to treatment and follow‑up.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
• 1 Saturday morning per month with TOIL
• No out‑of‑hours or on‑call responsibilities
• Flexible working options available to support work‑life balance

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

• A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
• Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
