Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead our health and safety initiatives within the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement health and safety policies in compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
* Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, including recommendations for improvement.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
* Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
* Stay updated on changes in legislation related to health and safety, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a health and safety management role or similar position.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
* Experience in conducting root cause analysis for incidents or accidents.
* Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
