Working as part of a highly respected and collaborative team, you'll advise and coach schools across Redbridge, mainly primary mainstream settings, to improve outcomes for autistic children and young people. You’ll bring your knowledge, empathy and leadership to: Guide staff in embedding inclusive, neurodiversity-positive practice Deliver training for educators and families Support transitions, placements, and personalised learning plans Promote wellbeing, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy in autistic pupils Collaborate with a multi-agency team across education, health, and social care This is a rare opportunity to step into a borough-wide role where your experience is not only valued but amplified. What you’ll need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Significant experience supporting autistic pupils in educational settings, ideally already as an Advisory Teacher A strong understanding of strategies like SCERTS, TEACCH, Attention Autism The ability to inspire, train and support school staff with clarity and compassion A collaborative, reflective mindset and commitment to inclusive education A postgraduate qualification in autism or SEND would be an advantage, but is not essential if you bring the right passion and experience.
