About the scheme: We are currently overseeing a groundbreaking £200 million substation project in Carlisle and are seeking a skilled and versatile General Operator to join our dynamic team.
Job Description: As a General Operator on our £200 million substation project, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of construction and operation. This position requires versatility, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate a variety of construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, dumpers, rollers, and other machinery as needed.
2. Support the construction team in various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
3. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
4. Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
5. Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
Qualifications:
6. Proven experience as a General Operator in large-scale construction projects.
7. Familiarity with the operation of a range of construction equipment.
8. Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for relevant machinery.
9. Ability to adapt to different tasks and work environments.
10. Strong attention to safety and detail.
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
