We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our friendly Catering Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing delicious and high-quality dishes and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our service users. All our food is cooked with fresh ingredients and served in our dining room.
Shifts are 06:30-14:30 or 11:00-19:00 weekdays and 07:00-19:00 at weekends on rotation.
Role Overview:
* Plan, prepare and cook meals ensuring operational standards comply with the company's Food Safety policies and guidelines and statutory regulations.
* Take full shift responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring to delegate tasks effectively.
Requirements:
* Qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent & basic qualification in food hygiene.
* Knowledge of specialised diets - Dysphagia, Allergens, etc.
* Proven experience as Chef with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A genuine passion for food and creating varied and interesting menus.
We want you to flourish in your new role, so training will be provided. Additionally, further training for the Healthcare Industry is given, including some mandatory classroom sessions.
