The Role

A rare opportunity to join this dynamic Practice education team supporting and facilitating the development of the workplace as a sustainable quality learning environment for all Allied Health Professional staff (Registered AHPs, pre-registration students, support workers and staff “returning to practice”) working across all care settings within Health Board area:

1. Responsibility for designing and delivering training and development programmes as a major job responsibility
2. To enhance the quality of learning opportunities available to the AHP workforce.
3. To develop local opportunities with our partners for inter professional learning within the Health Board area
4. To make a significant contribution supporting the identified education needs of AHP workforce within the workplace
5. To increase the capacity of the Health Board area and other sectors to provide learning opportunities for pre-registration AHP students

What we'll need you to bring

6. Qualified to Masters Degree level or equivalent
7. Registration with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) as one of the ten AHP professional groups
8. Evidence of CPD relevant to AHP Practice Education
9. Experience of working in a multi­disciplinary setting
10. Demonstrates experience of practice placements and Practice Education issues
11. Ability to collate, analyse and make informed judgements on information sets
12. Experience in carrying out research and audit
13. High level written, verbal and presentation skills
14. Experience in workshop, project and change management
15. Demonstrates commitment to team leadership
16. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
17. Demonstrates and understands the specialities within the team, their perspectives and issues
18. IM&T skills
19. Able to work independently and in a self directed manner within the remit and timescales of the project

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

20. Holding or working towards an educational qualification such as a Postgraduate Certificate/ Diploma
21. Experience of teaching, facilitation and working in a learning environment
22. Understanding of current workforce development/education and training issues in NHS Scotland
23. Experience of AHP inter-professional working and learning
24. Experience of practice education/student training within an AHP role
25. Contribution to research related activities
26. Organisation and interpersonal skills
27. Excellent presentation skills

30. Information retrieval, analysis and report writing skills

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in NMAHP Practice Development Centre within Beckford St.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday (Office Hours)
