Overview
Our Team Leaders play a critical role in helping deliver justice. This role will enable you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills. You are responsible for making sure your team deliver excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management. Leading your team, you'll focus on the team's area of work, ensuring that work is prioritised and organised and that your team is fully skilled to meet objectives. As an effective Team Leader, you recognise the importance of the team's wellbeing and can motivate your team to succeed. You will contribute to the delivery of operational, performance and service standard targets and provide statistical data for the management team and judiciary. Your keen eye for detail and desire for continuous improvement is key to your success.
Monitoring and analysing performance areas and trends, conducting ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices is essential, as is your ability to successfully recommend improvements, navigate change and manage the implementation of new initiatives and legislation. This is a challenging and rewarding role, key to the smooth running of operational functions throughout HMCTS. Accommodation Liaison Officer responsibilities
* Keep colleagues (including the Judiciary and other occupiers) in the county informed on building related issues, such as upcoming works, visits, escalations, complaints and project works.
* Work with the HMCTS Facilities Management Team to ensure that outstanding issues are escalated promptly and appropriately.
* Ensure that all minor works are logged with the FM and Security Helpdesk in a timely fashion, using the online tools where possible.
* Monitor the impact and effect of problems and issues on site operations, raising accordingly and attending Facilities Management meetings where appropriate.
* Carry out Health and Safety walkarounds, audits and risk assessments (appropriate training will be provided).
* Submit health and safety returns.
* Work with HMCTS Facilities Management Team to ensure the scope of minor work and projects are accurate, aiming to minimise the operational impact.
* Undertake security related tasks when required, including Panic Alarm Checks and booking of Ad-Hoc Security, where required and approved by FM.
* Be mindful of sustainability related targets and how the site can assist.

Working patterns and eligibility
New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum. These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full-time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ\'s Flexible Working policy. Applications for part-time working would be considered; however, due to the nature of the role the minimum hours would be 33 hours per week over 4 days.
Visa and terms of service
Skilled Worker Visa: From 22 July 2025, the Government increased the salary threshold and skills level for Skilled Worker visas. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship in accordance with the current immigration rules if you are applying for a Skilled Worker Visa for the first time. The Department cannot sponsor you for this role unless you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 22 July 2025. If you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously, please raise this during vetting checks and eligibility will be assessed. Hybrid working and location
The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. All employees are expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity. For nationally advertised roles, appointments will be to the nearest viable office to the home postcode (HQ, Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office). Current MoJ employees may need to relocate to the nearest viable office. Some roles may not be suitable for Hybrid Working and these arrangements will be discussed with the successful candidate(s).
Additional terms
Flexible working hours are available. Civil Service reform changes apply to staff joining MoJ. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto new or existing MoJ terms as applicable. Some terms and conditions may be amended; details will be provided if an offer is made. MoJ candidates on specialist grades may retain their grade on lateral transfer.
