Ridgeway & Co are working with a leading regional Main Contractor in their search for an experienced Contracts Manager. Our client operates across a wide-range of sectors, from commercial fit-out to large-scale new builds. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional with a strong track record in managing contracts and delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project budgets, variations, and claims, ensuring financial control.
* Provide clear commercial advice to the project team and senior management.
* Oversee risk management, dispute resolution, and contract administration processes.
* Collaborate with project managers, QS teams, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Essential Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in construction.
* Experience managing projects ranging from £5M-£10M in value.
* Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, or other standard contracts.
* Experience in budget management, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail.
