Package: 27k-30k+ overtime + benefits
We are looking for a junior Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team, working on the assembly and testing of subsea pipeline plugs and pressure-retaining equipment.
This role involves working closely with engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality build and performance of mechanical systems used in critical offshore and energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds
* Work with hydraulic pumps, hoses, and fittings
* Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing
* Follow and support operating and test procedures (ability to write or improve them is a bonus)
* Support with procurement of components and build preparation
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams throughout the build and test phases
Requirements
* Proven mechanical assembly or fitting experience
* Competent in reading technical drawings and mechanical schematics
* Experience with hydraulic systems and test setups
* Hands-on experience conducting pressure testing (preferably hydrostatic)
* High attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
