Technical Author (Contract) - Fully Remote

Build clear, audit-ready documentation across complex systems

We're looking for an experienced Technical Author with a strong technical background to support a fast-moving environment where documentation, workflows, and SOX -aligned controls need to be brought up to standard quickly.

Technical Author (Contract) - Fully RemoteWhat you'll be doing

• Documenting business processes, workflows, and operational procedures
• Building IT automated control documentation aligned to SOX requirements
• Mapping data flows across systems and integrations
• Creating system overviews, architecture notes, and technical reference material
• Working with SOX partners to ensure evidence, controls, and processes are complete and compliant
• Helping the organisation catch up on documentation backlog and establish repeatable standards

What we're looking for a Technical Author

• Proven experience as a Technical Author in IT, security, or compliance-heavy environments
• Strong understanding of SOC controls, audit cycles, and evidence requirements
• Ability to translate complex technical systems into clear, structured documentation
• Experience working with engineers, architects, and compliance teams
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote contract role
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to bring order to messy or incomplete documentation
