Our client, an award-winning bakery, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join their team!
The Role
1. Plan, manage, control, and review the operation of a bakery, ensuring excellent customer service, maximized sales, minimized costs, high bakery standards, adherence to food safety and H&S legislation, and a motivated and engaged team.
2. Assist the Bakery Manager in recruiting, inducting, training, managing, motivating, reviewing, and developing a team capable of delivering the business needs.
3. Help plan, monitor, and review staffing levels, ensuring appropriate coverage including supervisory/management roles, while fostering a positive team environment.
4. Ensure products are consistently prepared, cooked, and presented to standard within a clean, safe, and tidy bakery environment.
5. Understand, implement, monitor, and review company policies and procedures.
6. Ensure employees, customers, and third parties adhere to policies and procedures, including stock taking, till operation, cash handling, H&S, and EHO regulations.
7. Assist in monitoring, reviewing, and delivering performance standards.
8. Support in planning, forecasting, managing, controlling, and reviewing sales to meet or exceed targets.
