Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out & Refurbishment Central London | Permanent | Main Contractor
Are you a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of fast‑paced, high‑quality fit‑out and refurbishment projects? Our client, a respected main contractor based in Central London, is expanding their commercial team and seeking a QS with strong sector experience and a passion for delivering exceptional spaces.
Responsibilities:
* Play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre‑construction through to final account
* Preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
* Managing procurement and subcontractor packages
* Overseeing valuations, variations, and cost reporting
* Ensuring projects remain commercially viable and delivered within budget
* Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients
* Administering contracts (typically JCT) and managing change control
* Supporting project delivery across multiple sectors with varying complexity
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on fit‑out and refurbishment projects (Cat A, Cat B, retail refresh, industrial upgrades, healthcare refurbishments)
* Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing costs on live projects
* Knowledge of JCT contracts and subcontractor management
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills
* A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
