At EMR, we're passionate about developing the workforce of the future. Our Emerging Talent Specialist plays a vital role in shaping a sustainable pipeline of skilled individuals from work experience students through to fast-track junior managers. You'll help ensure the business has the right talent, with the right skills, at the right time. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll be hands-on in supporting initiatives that future-proof our business, while championing opportunities for early careers talent across the UK.
Our Head Office is in Warrington, Cheshire, and we'd love to welcome you in person at least twice a week. For this reason, we're looking for applicants based in the North West or Yorkshire areas.
What You Will Be Doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
Support the delivery of the Emerging Talent strategy and wider People team priorities
Develop and deliver programmes aligned to talent and succession planning activity
Provide ongoing support for Early Careers programmes including Apprenticeships, Graduate Schemes and Placements, ensuring alignment with funding and legislative requirements
Partner with the Emerging Talent Lead, People team and business leaders to understand future talent needs and shape recruitment and development initiatives accordingly
Support Early Careers recruitment by working closely with internal and external partners to drive brand awareness, candidate attraction and successful selection
Plan and facilitate engaging assessment centres
Deliver and support school and college outreach activities
Coordinate meaningful work experience programmes
Contribute to well-structured inductions for Emerging Talent cohorts
Provide pastoral support to ensure high levels of engagement and retention
Manage apprenticeship provider relationships and associated DAS account activity
Work with managers and the wider business to support progression into permanent roles
About You
You'll be a positive and proactive talent advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting emerging careers.
You will have:
Minimum two years' experience in Early Careers, Emerging Talent, or Apprenticeships
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with confidence working across multiple levels including senior leaders
Knowledge of the apprenticeship landscape as well as graduate and placement programme processes
Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting and facilitating at events or training sessions
Strong organisation and project management capabilities
A genuine desire to mentor, develop and nurture future talent
A full driving licence and flexibility to travel across the UK as required
