Our client, a consultancy based in Gateshead, is recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer who will work on a wide range of projects, mainly in social and private housing. The consultancy provides innovative engineering solutions and has won multiple awards. The Senior Civil Engineer will work alongside innovative engineers to provide sustainable solutions to the market, leading the technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, and construction. The role requires experience in drainage and highway design, SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments, and earthworks.

Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview
* Work on projects including Housing, Commercial, Residential, and Extra Care developments

Senior Civil Engineer Job Requirements
* BEng, Meng, MSc, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering
* Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience within an engineering consultancy
* Ability to produce drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports, and site appraisals
* Knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Local Authority Design Guidance, and technical approvals
* Proficiency with technical software including AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D, and AutoTrack
* Experience working with residential developers
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and mentor others
