Finance Analyst

Role Overview
Leidos Europe is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their Commercial, Legal and Finance (CLF) team. The role supports the UK MOD’s Logistic Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) programme, aimed at enhancing the UK’s defence supply chain.
The key responsibilities include supporting daily financial operations, managing accruals, consolidating and reporting programme costs, and business partnering with the TVS to ensure accurate financial results. The role also involves reviewing EAC and forecast for the Legacy S2C project.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Evaluate actual costs and performance against budgets to identify trends and variances.
* Act as Business Partner to the TVS, streamlining processes and ensuring accurate reporting.
* Build financial models and analyses to support strategic decisions.
* Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost centre results.
* Perform ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling, presenting recommendations to senior management.
* Maintain understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
* Support implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
* Coordinate financial elements of service and cost performance measures under the LCST contract.
* Ensure proper collection and monitoring of costs related to 'options' and work scope extensions.
* Assist in establishing and maintaining Estimates at Completion (EACs).
Skills Required
* Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ICAS) with relevant experience.
* Experience in cost reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, VBA, and financial systems like Oracle or Cognos.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity and bringing clarity.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
