An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tekla Detailer to join an established structural steel specialist in the North East. You’ll work on a range of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality models and drawings from design through to fabrication and erection.
The Role
Working closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams, you will produce accurate and buildable Tekla Structures models and drawings, ensuring projects are delivered to programme and fabrication requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce Tekla Structures 3D models for structural steelwork
* Prepare GA, fabrication, and erection drawings, including bolt lists
* Interpret engineers’ calculations and specifications
* Resolve technical queries with engineers, clients, and site teams
* Ensure detailing aligns with fabrication and erection constraints
* Maintain drawing registers and support project documentation
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within structural steel
* Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
* Experience detailing commercial and/or industrial steelwork
* Confident interpreting structural calculations and drawings
