Social Media Content Specialist – 12 month FTC
Location: Wythall – 3 days office/2 days home
We’re excited to be working with this retail-based client with multiple branches across the UK. They’re looking to add a Social Media Content Specialist to their digital team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Due to the office location, you’ll need your own transport and be willing to travel to branches occasionally.
The role involves developing their social media presence on Meta, YouTube, and TikTok to engage new customers and bring the brand to life through engaging and authentic content.
Responsibilities:
1. Own the social media content plan, creating a structured and proactive strategy for the year.
2. Collaborate with the social media agency to brief new content requirements for organic and paid media.
3. Create engaging social media content that highlights the brand and its people, including product and promotional content.
4. Plan and develop more video content, especially for YouTube, such as “how-to” and “a day in the life” videos.
Experience required:
1. Previous experience in a social media content role.
2. Understanding of both organic and paid social media strategies.
3. Experience in developing YouTube as a social channel is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop; videography experience is not required, as you'll work with an in-house videographer and agency.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. High attention to detail.
7. Experience within eCommerce or brick-and-mortar retail is preferred.
8. Interest or experience in construction, interiors, or trade retail is highly beneficial.
