The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available with one of our key clients for a Planning and Logistics Team Leader. This role will be to support the delivery of an efficient, customer‑focused supply chain operation. You’ll play a key role in creating production schedules, improving delivery performance, managing stock, and leading a small supply chain team.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Creating and managing production plans to support on time delivery to customers.
* Coordinating the procurement of raw materials and ensuring they are available for manufacturing.
* Overseeing the movement of finished and raw materials across UK sites and distribution centres.
* Leading and supporting the planning and warehousing teams to maintain smooth daily operations.
* Monitoring inventory levels and supporting cycle counting and stock accuracy activities.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
* Strong working knowledge of SAP across sales, planning and materials modules.
* Good level of general education and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
* Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, site operations and supplier relationships.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
* Experience in a planning, logistics or supply chain environment with team‑leading responsibilities.
It’s great if you also have the following
* Experience working within a chemical manufacturing, batch processing, or regulated production environment.
* Familiarity with REACH, COMAH, or similar compliance frameworks relevant to chemical operations.
* Understanding of raw material supply chains, toll manufacturing, or global freight movements.
