Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm/4:00pm
About the school
Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are working with a warm, inclusive specialist setting in Rochdale that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of their pupils.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions
* Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day
* Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support team
What we're looking for
* Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively
* A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
* Strong understanding of Autism and SEND
* A relevant TA qualification
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references
This is a full-time position starting ASAP (September 2025).
