About the role…
Joining a growing team, you will manage the Group fleet administration function and work closely with the Group Fleet Manager and National Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure continued safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations throughout the company. Primary responsibilities include Operator License Management, Driver’s hours and License Management, Vehicular Incident and Insurance Management, and general fleet administration tasks. This is a full-time permanent role with hybrid working from home, and either of our offices in the North West.
As a Driver and Fleet Administration Manager, you will…
* Oversee administration of a 600+ vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with DVSA, OTC, and DfT regulations, including Operator’s License and CPC duties.
* Manage transport compliance, including driver hours, vehicle checks, V5, RFL, PCNs, and speeding notifications.
* Handle incident, accident, and insurance cases, maintaining accurate records and supporting investigations.
* Lead system and telematics management, including fuel cards, reporting, and driver performance KPIs.
* Coordinate driver onboarding and behaviour monitoring, implementing corrective actions through toolbox talks and briefings.
* Support fleet cost control, tracking expenses, and contributing to strategies for improved efficiency.
* Assist in drafting and enforcing fleet-related policies, ensuring operational consistency across the group.
* Collaborate with national and group fleet teams, aligning on risk management and operational improvements.
About you…
To excel in this role, experience in either fleet or transport management is essential, along with a positive approach and the ability to motivate yourself and your team. CPC qualification would be desirable but isn't essential.
