What’s involved?
As the Sous Chef, you will be providing positive guidance to a team of chefs and leading and motivating the team in the Head Chef’s absence. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional dishes across our restaurant, bar, golf and events offering; assisting in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring that the dishes are produced to a consistently high standard using quality, fresh ingredients, locally sourced, where possible. You will also be involved in recruitment as well as the training and development of the team.
The successful Sous Chef will have strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for fresh food and high-quality presentation, the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail as well as a positive, hands-on attitude. You will have previous experience in creating mouthwatering dishes using fresh ingredients and will be able to bring some of their own dishes to life from the menus.
