Senior Site Engineer Severn Trent Water Projects Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering works on Severn Trent Water infrastructure projects including water/wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and associated structures. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead all engineering and setting-out activities on site Interpret drawings, specifications, and Severn Trent standards Resolve technical queries, manage RFIs, and liaise with design teams Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements Setting Out & Survey Management Oversee complex setting out for RC structures, pipework, drainage, and utilities Maintain site control networks and ensure accurate as-built records Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 Review and approve RAMS Lead safe systems in confined spaces, excavations, and live water environments Ensure environmental compliance and promote safety culture Quality Assurance Manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Ensure materials meet WIMES and Severn Trent specifications Oversee pressure testing, chlorination, and commissioning support Support audits and ensure DWI/EA standards compliance Programme & Commercial Support short-term planning and coordinate subcontractors Identify programme risks and mitigation measures Identify and manage variations, support measurement processes Provide technical input to compensation events Stakeholder Management Liaise with Severn Trent representatives and attend client meetings Support project handover and documentation submission Essential Requirements Degree/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Significant site experience in water/wastewater infrastructure Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and pipeline works SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS Card Full UK driving licence Desirable Experience with Severn Trent or UK water utilities Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor qualification Confined Space Training NEC contract experience Working towards or chartered with ICE Key Skills Technical leadership | Problem-solving | Strong communication | Quality-driven | Health & safety awareness | Programme management | Mentoring ability Benefits: Group Life Assurance Company Vehicle Housing Allowance / Accommodation Meal Allowance / Canteen Mobile Phone Paid Holidays Performance Bonus
