Overview
This is an exciting opportunity within the cardio-respiratory diagnostic team at Glangwili Hospital for an administrator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. We are seeking an administrator to take the lead in supporting cardiac rhythm management services by co-ordinating pacing implant and follow up and the provision of cardioversion.
The postholder will manage the health board waiting list for pacing implant and assist the clinical team from referral of patient to post-implant care. They will also co-ordinate cardio-version waiting lists and bookings for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire regions. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide expertise in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, co-ordinate diaries and schedules within the service to maximise service capacity and booking capacity across multiple health board sites and multiple diagnostic investigations and treatments.
You will provide a high level of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact for all administrative duties relating to the patient pathway of care, providing secretarial and administrative support to the clinical staff within the service, including scheduling, typing and recording meeting minutes. You will also provide training and support to new and junior staff in the areas where you are expert.

Responsibilities
 * Register referrals and book appointments for a variety of diagnostic tests, cardiac procedures and follow-up care.
 * Organise theatre schedules and prepare documents for multi-disciplinary meetings.
 * Manage in-patient pacing implant demand and report daily health board status of demand and capacity to the management team.
 * Coordinate diaries and schedules within the service to maximise capacity across multiple sites and investigations.
 * Provide secretarial and administrative support to clinical staff, including scheduling, typing and recording meeting minutes.
 * Provide training and support to new and junior staff in relevant areas.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and manage complex patient pathways.
 * Customer-focused with strong communication abilities.
 * Experience in coordinating waiting lists and bookings is desirable.
 * Welsh language ability is desirable; learning options are available if not met on appointment.
