Network & Security L2 Administrator Contract Location: West London Office-Based Rate: Competitive DOE, inside IR35 Duration: 6 months initially Shift Pattern: 24/7 support environment with rotational shifts and days off Our client, a global consultancy, is looking for experienced Level 2/3 Network & Security Administrators to deliver high-impact technical support across a large, complex enterprise network. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L3 support across OSI Layers 17 Troubleshoot and resolve issues across wired, wireless, and cloud-enabled networks Monitor network health using advanced diagnostic and monitoring tools Implement and support Cisco WLAN Controllers, SSIDs, Access Points Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, NAT, etc. Administer and maintain firewalls (Checkpoint), VPNs, and F5 LTM Manage DNS/DHCP, IPAM, software patching, and SSL certificates Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents Handle major incidents and proactively mitigate risks Your Profile: Essential Skills & Experience: Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper OEMs) Core protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, NAT Network security: VPNs, Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco ISE F5 LTM (iRules, SSL, upgrades) DNS/DHCP, IPAM Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills Comfortable in high-pressure and customer-facing environments Certifications: CCNP, CCSA, F5 (desirable) Nice to Have: Cisco Meraki, AWS Networking, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, NetBrain If you have the relevant skills and experience, please apply promptly and we will be in touch to discuss your application further.
