We are recruiting an exciting role in our Proud Places programme! This unique programme offers young people a chance to get involved with heritage restoration projects, transforming how they understand and experience the world around them. Founded by charity Heritage of London Trust and now in its fourth year, Proud Places has involved over 8,500 young people from alternative provision schools, young refugees & youth groups as well as mainstream primary and secondary schools. Through tailored visits to Heritage of London Trust projects and creative workshops, children develop fresh eyes on their local area and new skills. Proud Prospects, our careers’ development strand, offers interview and presentation practice. The programme has had incredible impact on lives and opportunities with 100% of teachers or youth leaders seeing improvement in young people’s wellbeing. We now need more inspirational community and youth leaders to join our team. As Proud Places Project Co-ordinator you will help develop the breadth and depth of the programme’s impact. You will lead on data collection and play a key role in monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement. You will manage outreach to schools and groups and where possible accompany Proud Places visits. You will be our key liaison with external stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of the programme and scheduling visits including arranging timings, transport and logistics. From 2026 you will also coordinate workshops at a dedicated Proud Places hub in the City. You will be working alongside committed colleagues and creating social impact in communities across London. If you are organised and detail-focused, have drive, initiative and creativity, are passionate about inclusivity and engaging new audiences and can demonstrate enthusiasm for the power of place, we want to hear from you! At least three years’ experience of youth work in either formal (schools) or informal settings is essential as well as an understanding of legislation, best practice and guidelines around teaching and youth engagement. Key tasks: Organising and co-ordinating Proud Places visits with schools (alternative provision and mainstream) and youth groups, liaising with teachers and conservation teams Identifying and ordering workshop materials Analysing data collection to provide insights and to inform engagements, ensuring data is recorded consistently and kept up to date Putting together an effective engagement plan for each project and providing a summary of reports outlining our impact Occasionally supporting with the delivery of visits and workshops, plus photography and videography on visits and workshops Supporting volunteers and work experience students Advocating externally with relevant organisations at conferences, networks and events. Essential criteria and skills: Experience working with young people Experience with impact measurement Leadership skills - problem-solving, influencing and decision-making Excellent organisational skills A confident communicator, bold and creative Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity and interests Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint Curiosity about London, adventurousness and willingness to learn Desirable: Design software and photography skills.
