They are looking for an Assistant Headteacher (inclusion) to join their School in Ealing on permanent basis from January 2026. You will support the Deputy Headteacher in the operational leadership of the school, working closely with them and other Senior Leaders (SLT) to manage day-to-day operations with the aim of supporting all pupils to reach their full potential. JOB DESCRIPTION * Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion) * Fulfil the role of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, as outlined within the statutory guidance of Keeping Children Safe in Education, and hold specific responsibility for the management of the FAST provision inclusive of family liaison, partnerships and direct family work. * Take professional responsibility for managing a small but highly complex caseload of families and pupils with complex needs who require intensive interventions. Lead the coordination and delivery of multi-agency assessment & care planning for pupils who have Early Help, Children in Need and/or Child Protection Plans, as well as those who are designated as Looked After. * Hold overall responsibility for the coordination of partnership working and multi-agency liaison, planning, intervention, monitoring and review, through effective partnership working, and collaboration with all key stakeholders (parents/carers, commissioners, local authorities [LAs] and other engaged professionals etc.). * Refer cases of suspected abuse to the LA in consultation with the Headteacher. * Refer cases to the Channel Programme where there is a concern of radicalisation. * Promote and champion inclusion practices across the school. * Collaborate with the clinical and inclusion team to develop appropriate strategies on a whole school, class and individual basis to tackle failure to thrive. * Provide support to staff * January 2026 Start * Permanent (Employed directly by the school) * £54,060 - £56,710 per annum * Located in Ealing, West London PERSON SPECIFICATION * Must have QTS /QTLS * Recent proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as an effective Designated Safeguarding Lead, ideally within a specialist provision. Relevant experience within areas of specialism as defined below: * Pupils at high risk of aggressive and/or sexualised behaviour. * Pupils presenting with high risk and/or complex co-morbid mental health issues at Tier 3 and 4. * Pupils who are highly vulnerable to exploitation including those at risk of sexual exploitation and vulnerable young mothers. * Pupils with complex offending, substance misuse and/or significant gang related issues. * Experience of supporting neurodiverse children or with ASC and/or SEMH and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour patterns. * Demonstrable experience of raising outcomes for pupils with neuro-diverse needs whilst promoting a culture of inclusion.
