Job Description
Sports Direct is seeking an enthusiastic Temporary Sales Assistant to join our team in Trowbridge, United Kingdom. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service and supporting our sales efforts.
* Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Offer expert advice on our wide range of sports equipment and apparel
* Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
* Maintain a clean and well-organised shop floor
* Restock shelves and update product displays
* Assist with inventory management and stock checks
* Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
* Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly
* Promote Sports Direct's loyalty programmes and special offers
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
* Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and sales transactions
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required
* Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise when necessary
* Enthusiasm for sports and fitness (desirable)
* Previous experience in retail or customer service (preferred)
* Knowledge of sports equipment and apparel (advantageous)
* Ability to work well in a team and independently
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
