Job title\: Systems Product Integration Team Lead (GCAP) Location\: Warton- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary\: £54,793 Dependent of skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Leading tasks that support the development of FCAS computing systems; leading various activities as part of the overall international team responsible for developing computing hardware and software solutions that feed directly into GCAP Interfacing into other parts of the FCAS national and international organisation on behalf of the team and leading subtask with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrating your ability to strengthen our relationships and forge partnerships with internal and external customers, industry partners and suppliers in the UK and international locations such as Japan and Italy through your contributions to our activities Support and presenting in various forums that could include customer, partner and supplier meetings Understanding the balance of business and customer requirements; Positively influencing our activities in terms of schedule adherence and optimise engineering and business outputs Your skills and experiences: Essential You will ideally be qualified to degree level qualification in a STEM discipline, HND/HNC, or have equivalent experience You will have knowledge of Systems Engineering and the Engineering Lifecycle, typically experienced in applying subject knowledge in an integrated platform which may involve safety and/or cyber security related activities Knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools (e.g. UML/SysML, CAMEO, MBSE) People Leadership and/or Technical Leadership Subject Matter expertise in one or more Mission Systems domains Desirable Awareness of Engineering and business processes, familiarity with implications of decisions on time / cost / quality and be able to support timely and accurate performance reporting. The Mission Systems Team The role is part of the Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT), responsible for the design and delivery of the Mission System for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). The team follows an agile work planning process to develop mission system concepts, architectures, and designs, ensuring that solutions are innovative, robust, and aligned with programme objectives. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Edgewing teams, contributing to secure and resilient system designs while collaborating across multiple disciplines. You will engage with engineers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that mission system designs meet technical, operational, and security requirements. The position is based at our Warton site, with regular travel to other BAE Systems locations across the UK and to customer and industry partner sites in the UK, Italy, and Japan.
