As the Territory Sales Manager for South East region you will be responsible for sales revenue and distribution targets within the Independent Retail, Wholesale sectors to ensure profit targets are met.
1. Achieve assigned territory sales revenue and distribution targets within the independent retail, wholesale, trade and other customer sectors.
2. Accountability of gross margin maintenance by monitoring product mix, pricing, discounting and other profit related metrics in the control of the Territory Sales Manager.
3. Accountability to achieve targets set on key selling initiatives set by the business, such as Pre Season and quarterly Drive to Thrive campaigns.
4. Achieve assigned territory EPOS targets set by the business.
5. Align with National and Key Account Manager objectives in relevant accounts to fulfill support and sales requirements.
6. Ensure that Buying Group and Wholesaler contact strategies are followed and adhered to.
7. Partner with external Wholesaler reps to drive sales in indirect customers.
8. Build effective relationships with the internal team (Commercial Finance, Sales Support, National Accounts, Sales Effectiveness Team)
9. Follow and execute the SW Sales Cycle to ensure effective planning, selling and follow up in every visit.
10. Use relevant data provided by the business to analyse territory performance and identify opportunities and actions by account.
11. Ensure effective use of selling time by using to plan account visits on assigned territory. Ensure that required number of calls per day is adhered to and all information on the system is completed and up to date.
12. Provide category expertise to all customers by using relevant market data and insights to drive category sales.
13. Display and merchandise Sherwin Williams products in all outlets to required company standards.
14. Successfully execute NPD launches and achieve distribution targets set by the company.
15. Report promptly competitor activity, market trends, price surveys and new product development in the marketplace to the business when relevant.
16. Produce and maintain account plans on an annual basis.
17. Participate in relevant trade shows and customer events.
18. Respond promptly to all internal and external queries, complaints and requests for information.
19. Adherence to all company policies and procedures
20. Efficient use of SFDC
21. Keep up to date with the Sherwin Williams Consumer Brands training modules.
22. Maintain in a proper condition all company property including ipad, laptop and iphone.
23. Maintain company car to an acceptable standard including servicing, cleanliness and roadworthiness. Car audits to be completed on time.
24. Reflect a positive company image at all times.
25. Promote a safe working environment adhering to the health and safety policy and company car driver’s policy.
26. Maintain company records, always ensuring total confidentiality.
27. Perform other duties as requested by Regional Sales Manager
28. Ensure availability to attend induction and any meetings, conferences, anything else that may require an overnight stay.
Required:
29. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
30. Experience of selling in a B2B environment is preferred.
31. Knowledge of the. & TRADE industry whilst of benefit is not essential.
32. Ability to negotiate.
33. Merchandising skills.
34. Demonstrate determination and a passion to improve sales.
35. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
36. Excellent communicator.
37. Full, clean driving license.
38. Computer Literate – Able to use Microsoft packages to a good standard.
Preferred:
39. Good understanding of ipad software
40. Good understanding and experience of using CRM system.
