Junior Account Manager – Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Account Manager to join a growing team within the childrenswear division. Working closely with a key high street customer, the successful candidate will gain valuable exposure across account management, product development and customer relationships, supporting the delivery of commercial, trend-led ranges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working closely with buyers to review briefs, seasonal requirements and key trends
2. Attending customer meetings, presenting samples, taking detailed notes and communicating feedback clearly to the design team
3. Conducting trend and competitor research to support range development
4. Collaborating with product development to build cohesive, commercial childrenswear ranges
5. Sourcing new products, fabrics and yarns, and managing the sampling process from initial development through to approval
6. Liaising with factories and overseas suppliers to ensure timelines, quality and cost targets are met
7. Proactively raising and resolving any issues relating to orders or production
8. Supporting cost negotiations and margin management where required
9. Identifying opportunities to grow and develop existing customer accounts
10. Attending trade fairs and supplier visits as part of ongoing product and market development

11. Professional, confident and personable approach
12. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
13. Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
14. Computer literate, with confidence using Microsoft Office and learning internal systems
