The Family and Clinical Support Services (FCSS) Division at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for its the Operational Service Manager role for Maternity across Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the leadership experience to engage, encourage and support the existing team to drive innovations, efficiency and high-quality patient care.
The Maternity Service Manager will be responsible for business management in maternity across Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover hospitals and community, alongside the outlined Divisional strategic priorities. This post will work closely with the Operational Service Manager for Women's health to develop and align the rotas for the medical staff.
This role will be based between Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital (Basingstoke) and Royal Hampshire County Hospital (Winchester) and will involve travel to other Trust sites as required.
Main duties of the job
The Operational Services Manager will report to the Director of Midwifery (DoM) and will provide appropriate support to the Heads of Midwifery (RHCH and BNHH), Divisional Director of Operations (DDO) and the Clinical Director in the delivery of all operational functions for Maternity services, a discrete section of the Family and Clinical services division. This will include overseeing the administrative functions within maternity, and ensuring all key performance targets are met, and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to. The Operational Services Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate data is available, analysed and presented to support business decision making, forging the gap between financial and business management. The post holder will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient services. This role will lead on the project management of the cost reduction programmes and organisational change.
