Equans is looking for a HR Advisor to join our team based in Bristol on a temporary basis (18 Months). This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £32, - £38, per annum, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support for the Central and Southwest Healthcare and Education portfolio looking at mobilisation, people matters, supporting line managers to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance, and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.

While Safety is a priority for our People, cost control, engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives are also key aspects of the People Agenda.

You will also provide an efficient dedicated first line support to the Middle and Front-Line management population within the Business Unit supporting all on HR policy and practise such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management & performance management.

What will you deliver?

1. Member of the Central and Southwest Healthcare and Education HR Team which collectively enables delivery of people plans and business as usual objectives.
2. Liaise with line managers and the resourcing team to optimise recruitment opportunities.
3. Update file records and databases to track the progress of the key business KPIs (absence, leavers, agency spend and overtime spend), ER cases and mobilisation process.
4. Ensure attendance management is monitored in detail, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting delivery.
5. Contribute to the communication and engagement processes.
6. Contribute to development of HR processes and materials.
7. Provide HR support on sites to deliver local consultation exercises as required.
8. Assist with programme planning for consultation group and individual meetings and presentations.
9. Produce documentation including employee communications, spreadsheets and presentations.
10. Attend meetings as required, taking notes/minutes as appropriate.
11. Coach and advise on Equans policies and procedures, ways of working and best practice.
12. Liaison with HR Shared Service Centre, Payroll and Pensions teams.
13. Provide support to team colleagues, line managers and supervisors to ensure best practice and employee engagement are enhanced.
14. Advice on early-stage grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings as appropriate only.
15. Monitoring of the annual Performance Review cycle, acting as a super-user, and ensuring completion in a timely manner on the performance system.
16. Supporting with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time.
17. Analysis of progress against people KPIs, providing recommendations for improvement and monitoring outcomes.
18. Disseminating communications, spreadsheet, policies & processes, and updates on progress against people objectives.
19. Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to government and process controls and GDPR.
20. Providing general HR assistance and acting as the link between the HR team and Employee Services in the SSC.
21. Supporting line managers in all people processes to ensure best practice and employee engagement is enhanced.
22. Continually review personal performance ensuring it meets the needs of users.
23. Support on TUPE In and Out of employees.

Who are you?

35. Part qualified, or fully qualified, CIPD member would be an advantage but not essential.
36. Experience in an HR Advisor role.
37. Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
38. Proven ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
39. Strong ability to communicate in person, email and letter.
40. Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving.
41. Experience of gathering and presenting data.
42. Practical approach to problem solving.
43. Proficient in various HR IT systems.
44. MS Office package competency.
45. A full UK Driving Licence is necessary as you may need to travel to other offices in the region.

This role includes a Standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
