Job Description : Female Support Worker
Pay: £15.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting Full Time Female Support Workers to support an individual with Epilepsy and a complex learning disability within the COCKERMOUTH area.

Role Description

We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Female Support Workers to work with an individual who has a complex learning disability and epilepsy needs. The individual will be living on their own so we are looking for Support Workers who can provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of her life throughout the day and night.

* Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
* Have a good understanding of complex learning disability and epilepsy and how this can impact daily living.
* Understand learning disabilities or have had experience working with individuals who have a learning disability and epilepsy, and that you understand that having these conditions can impact on their life's daily.
* Be a positive advocate for them.
* Be consistent - do what you say you say you will if you can't explain why.
* Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner
* Be patient and understanding encourage them on the difficult days
* Have a fun and kind personality who will encourage activities.
* Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
* Come to work to "Get to know me" as that is what is needed to support them. Providing guidance with all aspects of everyday living.
* Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care
* Think outside the box
* Be able to show kindness, and understand the processing time, it takes for our individual to process information being provided.
* Be able to deliver personal care requirements.
* Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries
