Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
Location: Liverpool / Manchester / Leeds
Hours: 9am–17:30pm
Type: Permanent/Rolling Contract
Rate: Circa £35 per hour (negotiable)
Start: Flexible – we’ll work around you
Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (Mid-Senior Level of Experience) to join a building services consultancy delivering a wide range of projects – residential, commercial, education, and industrial projects, with a special focus on high-rise.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and design electrical systems for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Work on projects from estimation stage through to Stage 5.
* Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant software.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Experience running your own projects.
* Proven experience in electrical design within the building services industry.
* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and building regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Professional membership or working towards membership with a relevant engineering institution is advantageous.
