The Dingle Primary School is looking to appoint a Pastoral Support & Attendance Lead to join our caring, dedicated team. This is a key role in ensuring our children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Main Responsibilities: Lead on Attendance Management: Monitor attendance data, follow up on absences, work with families and external agencies to improve attendance outcomes. Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in safeguarding matters, including attending Child in Need, Child Protection, and multi-agency meetings. Family Support & Signposting: Build trusting relationships with families, provide practical support, and guide them toward relevant services and external agencies. Support SEN Provision: Work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to deliver targeted interventions focusing on emotional literacy and wellbeing, and the national curriculum to children with additional needs. We are looking for someone who: Has experience in a pastoral or safeguarding role (preferably in an educational setting). Understands child protection and safeguarding procedures (DSL training desirable). Can engage and build strong relationships with pupils, families, and professionals. Is empathetic, resilient, and calm under pressure. Is highly organised, proactive, and a team player. Has experience supporting children with SEND or emotional needs.
