What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. You’ll be working in the Behavioural Science Unit, in our highly regarded Public Health team. Joining the Behavioural Science Unit, you will be part of an innovative, specialist, and supportive team and use your behavioural science skills to make a real difference to the health of those in Somerset.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

* Applying behavioural science skills to inform a range of public health programmes
* Using research skills to understand barriers and facilitators to key behaviours within projects
* Partnership working with key stakeholders, including NHS partners
* Supporting the wider work of the Behavioural Science Unit


What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

* Are educated to a minimum of Masters degree level in a behavioural science e.g. Psychology, Health Psychology, Behavioural Economics
* Have experience of applying behavioural science skills, theories and approaches to interventions

We expect you to utilise your behavioural science skills across different topic areas and be willing to actively engage and develop your knowledge.
