Salary: £150 - £230 per day, depending on experience
Role Description:
A well-regarded 11–16 school in the High Peak area is looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher with a specialism in either Geography or History. The school promotes academic achievement alongside character education and community involvement. You will be joining a dedicated department with a strong collaborative ethos.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach engaging lessons in either Geography or History across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring strong progress and outcomes
* Differentiate tasks to cater for all abilities, including SEND and EAL students
* Contribute to cross-curricular and enrichment projects
* Maintain strong communication with parents and carers about pupil progress
What We're Looking For:
* QTS and a degree in a Humanities subject
* Strong knowledge of curriculum requirements and exam board specifications
* Proven experience or confidence teaching up to GCSE level
* A positive and adaptable teaching style
* Commitment to fostering curiosity and critical thinking in students
