Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £50,000 – £52,000 + annual discretionary bonus
Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon–Thu 07:00–16:00, Fri 07:30–12:00)

ITP are working with a leading manufacturer in a highly regulated industry who are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within a precision engineering environment. You’ll be working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met across processes, products, and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive Quality professional who thrives on solving problems and improving processes. With strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, you’ll enjoy working in a collaborative environment focused on precision, performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and document training on work instructions, policies, and procedures.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools (SPC, DOE, Pareto, capability studies, etc.).
* Act as a customer liaison, managing and resolving customer quality complaints.
* Collect, analyse, and present data using statistical methods.
* Support suppliers in interpreting quality requirements.
* Contribute to APQP deliverables including FMEA, risk analysis, CAPA, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
* Develop inspection criteria and sampling plans to align with customer and manufacturing requirements.
* Lead or support productivity and process improvement projects.
* Perform quality reviews, audits, and recommend process or standard modifications as needed.
* Review drawings and ensure correct application of GD&T and material specifications.
* Monitor key metrics and drive performance improvement.
Experience & Background
* Degree in an Engineering discipline or recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. automotive, aerospace, or medical).
* Strong manufacturing background, ideally with casting or forging experience.
* Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QSR, ISO).
* Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Analysis, PPAP, and Continuous Improvement tools.
* Confident communicator, capable of liaising with customers and cross-functional teams.
* Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
