Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Engineer - Lifting (contract). The role will be working at the Redcar site office on an energy transition project.
The Role
As a Construction Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing all lifting and transport operations work that will be executed by the PCC Main Contractor and their supply chain.
The role will include interface management during design, constructability reviews and interfacing with other Client discipline leads to ensure that all Project milestones are achieved. Alignment and interface will be required with the overseas module yards to ensure issue-free load in.

Expected:
1. HNC (Level 4 NVQ) or higher
2. Appointed Person - CPCS A61 NPORS N401
3. Extensive construction management planning and execution experience
4. Multidiscipline experience of construction execution in major EPC / PMC / IPMT projects
5. Demonstrable experience of crawler cranes >1000t with superlift
6. Lifting towers / strand jack systems
7. Jacking and skidding
8. SPMT Transport of modules >1000t
9. Load out / load in of modules >1000t using roll on / roll off or heavy lift ships
10. UK regulations and compliance
11. A good understanding of the key value drivers of projects that relate to construction and the ability to drive competitiveness without a detrimental impact on safety or quality
Desirable:
12. Ability to work across multiple project elements / have a basic understanding of multi disciplines
