Service Engineer
Altera Recruitment Group is currently seeking an experienced Service Engineer within the water purification industry. The role of a Service Engineer involves supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault resolution of water purification systems across the Gloucester area. We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled engineer who enjoys working on-site, engaging with clients, and tackling diverse mechanical and electrical challenges.
Key Responsibilities of a Service engineer:
* Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot a range of water purification systems, including reverse osmosis, deionisers, water softeners, UV filtration, and backwashable filters.
* Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring systems meet required specifications and operate reliably.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including working with control panels, PLCs, and HMI systems.
* Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts usage, photographs, and customer approvals.
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards while managing van stock and daily equipment checks.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in water purification or water treatment systems, ideally including reverse osmosis.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills across a variety of voltages and system types.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
* Excellent customer-facing skills, able to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining high quality standards.
