Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Telford to recruit a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEND support. The school is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils with special educational needs, supporting their access to the national curriculum. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning and have a strong understanding of the national curriculum. This role involves providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, implementing individual education plans, and working collaboratively with teachers and external professionals to facilitate effective learning. The successful candidate will help create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can develop academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEND to access and engage with the national curriculum Assist in delivering tailored learning activities based on individual education plans Monitor and record pupils' progress and behaviour Work alongside teachers, speech and language therapists, and other specialists to support pupils' development Support pupils' social and emotional needs to promote inclusion Contribute to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Candidate Requirements: Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent Experience supporting pupils with SEND within a primary school setting Knowledge of the national curriculum and how to adapt activities to meet diverse needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils' development Monarch Education are proud to be a leading recruitment specialist in the Education industry.
