Role Overview
The Marine & Helicopter Coordinator plays a critical role within Offshore Operations & Logistics, supporting the safe and efficient execution of construction activities. The position is responsible for coordinating marine and air traffic, ensuring safe personnel transfer, and leading emergency response operations for the offshore wind farm.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary coordinator for emergency response, managing incidents and liaising with project teams and external agencies
* Control and coordinate vessel and helicopter traffic in accordance with established procedures
* Monitor and track personnel, vessels, and communications across offshore assets
* Manage WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) access restrictions and offshore movements
* Optimise vessel allocation and daily logistics planning, including real-time adjustments
* Operate offshore management systems to ensure:
* Personnel certification compliance
* Asset status and readiness
* Provide and interpret weather forecasts and observations, advising project teams and vessel masters
* Maintain relationships with weather data providers and resolve data issues
* Coordinate airspace operations to ensure safe helicopter movements
* Support marine traffic control and surveillance, including vessel avoidance
* Conduct statutory reporting (e.g., pollution incidents, vessel infringements, drifting objects)
* Liaise with stakeholders across HSE, marine inspection, and helicopter operations

1. Requirements
* Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Marine Coordination (offshore environment preferred)
* Experience in offshore emergency response
* Competent in radio communications and offshore coordination systems
* Familiarity with maritime certifications and offshore regulations
* Strong IT skills and experience with offshore personnel tracking systems
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
* Strong teamwork, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills
Additional Information
* Role includes day/night shifts and weekend work
* Potential for ad-hoc shifts before and after the main contract period
* Immediate availability preferred
