Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing growth of our operations within the window manufacturing sector. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a range of production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all site machinery
* Diagnose faults and perform repairs on sensors, relays, drives, inverters, CNC machinery, saws, plastic welders, blasting machines
* Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function
* Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
* Experience working with industrial machinery (CNC, drives, etc.)
* Background in fenestration (windows/doors manufacturing) is advantageous but not essential
* Time‑served engineers welcome – formal qualifications are not required
Training & Development
* Comprehensive training will be provided
* Opportunities for progression will depend on business growth over the next 12 months
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
* 40 hours per week
* After shift pattern: Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £39,520 per annum
* Overtime / shift allowance: Not applicable
* Pension: NEST scheme
* Health: Health scheme provided
* Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays
