About the Role
Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, offering a variety of shift patterns. This role requires flexible working around your lifestyle, including weekend shifts.
As a Pharmacy Colleague, you will act as the first point of contact for customers, providing warmth and friendliness while confidently discussing personal health issues, resolving customer problems, and guiding customers to the right products.
You will accurately assemble and process prescriptions and drive awareness of all pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record keeping of patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop smoking schemes.
You are expected to develop an understanding of and follow strict Standard Operating Procedures. You will also collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries on behalf of customers and bring them to the store ready for collection.
Responsibilities
* Provide friendly, professional customer service in the pharmacy.
* Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
* Drive awareness of pharmacy services and promote relevant products.
* Support the Pharmacist with patient services and maintain accurate records.
* Follow all standard operating procedures and maintain compliance.
* Collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries and prepare them for collection.
* Adapt to flexible shifts, including weekend work.
Qualifications
You are naturally friendly, highly organised, and eager to get stuck in with your team. You possess good computer skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Problem solving and a passion for helping people are essential.
Training and Development
Complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within six months, then progress to train as a Dispensing Assistant and further your pharmacy training.
