A Day in the Life
You will tackle scientific challenges by working with leading scientists, employing innovative methods to solve key questions, and communicating findings. Examples include developing polygenic risk scores for clinical trials or discovering therapeutic targets using advanced statistical methods. Success involves analysing complex genomics data with strong statistical genetics skills and sharing insights effectively.
Who You Are
* Experience with genetic association analyses (e.g., GWAS)
* Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) for large-scale genomics data analysis
* Knowledge of additional statistical genetic approaches (e.g., colocalization, fine-mapping, Mendelian Randomization)
* Effective communication skills, both spoken and written, to share findings with stakeholders
