Up to £53,200 DOE
Hours & Contract
37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
Contract: Permanent – 52 weeks; flexibility around Term‑time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances.
Eligibility
Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Manor House School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, which guide practice and clarify roles and responsibilities while considering governing and professional bodies. You will be responsible for holding an OT caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and will contribute to staff training and consultation as required. This post suits a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergent profiles or SEMH needs.
* Maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach and uphold a strong safeguarding culture.
* Collaborate with the education team and multidisciplinary clinical team.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Produce clear and concise report writing and documentation.
* Support continuous professional development and complete role specific training after probation.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience providing OT services within a similar setting (preferable)
* Experience working with neurodivergent, learning difficulty and/or socio‑emotional/mental health difficulties – evidence of transferable skills
* Strong knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality (preferred)
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed preferred)
