Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Work Schedule and Driving Responsibilities:
Your workday can begin at 5:00, 6:00, or 7:00 AM, depending on the shift assigned to your route. Routes are done for 12-13 hours.
You will be responsible for both pickups and deliveries.
You have 1 hour allocated for loading the van in the morning. After loading, you'll hit the road, where you'll start delivering the products you've loaded. On the road you will also have collections where you have to unload the items collected throughout the day in the warehouse locations.
The pay for a completed workday is £120, which you will receive regardless of circumstances as long as you finish your route.
*Additional Bonuses: Damage Bonus*
You are also eligible for a Damage Bonus of £10 per day worked over the course of a week. To qualify for this bonus, you must meet two conditions:
1. You need to purchase damage insurance, which costs £137.50 and is paid once a year.
2. You must not incur any damage during the week.
If you do cause damage (defined as damaging a product), you will not receive this bonus for that week. Depending on the severity of the damage, you may be required to cover the repair costs for the client.
If the damage is under £100, the company will cover it, but you will lose the bonus for that week.
If damage ranges between £100 and £300, you will pay the first £100, and the company will cover the remaining cost.
If the damage exceeds £300, you must claim through your insurance to compensate the client. Each time you file a claim, the insurance will require you to pay a £100 deductible.
*On-Time Bonus:*
If you have a maximum delay of 60 minutes in completing your daily tasks, you will receive an *On-Time Bonus* of £20 for that day. This means that as long as your delays are within this one-hour limit, you can earn this bonus as a reward for being punctual.
*Feedback Bonus:*
For every 10 positive feedback ratings you accumulate, you will earn an additional *Feedback Bonus* of £20 for each day you worked during that period. This encourages not only timely performance but also high-quality service, as positive feedback reflects customer satisfaction with your work.
You can take the company van home. The company will cover your fuel costs for commuting to and from home as long as the total distance does not exceed 20 miles (10 miles each way). If you use the van for personal reasons, such as traveling to London to visit friends over the weekend, the fuel will be deducted from your payment.
*Accident Protocol and Driver Deposit Information*
In the event of an accident where you are at fault and the innocent party files a claim for compensation, it is advisable to come to an understanding on the spot. For example, if you have merely scratched their paint or bumped into their mirror, and the other party contacts their insurance company, you will be responsible for paying the insurance excess which is £750. If you are not at fault in the accident, you do not need to worry about any costs associated with the claim.
*Driver Deposit*
There is also a £1,500 deposit required for drivers. This amount will be held by the Company for the duration of your employment. Once you finish your work and decide not to continue, the deposit will be refunded after two weeks. Please note that any outstanding fines or damages incurred during your collaboration may be deducted from this deposit.
First week you will be doing training, and training is paid £80 per day. We don't pay per hour. We pay per day.
