Job Description UXO Consultant We are looking for an experienced and driven UXO Consultant to lead the development of a new and exciting UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) survey service. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building and shaping a specialist service offering, working across a variety of projects nationwide. You will be responsible for developing internal capability, training staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality UXO risk mitigation services. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capability, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to): Designing and delivering UXO/EOD training programmes (classroom and field-based) Assessing competency levels and developing structured training plans Establishing UXO survey methodologies, procedures, and best practices Leading the development of a new UXO survey team, including mentoring staff Supporting recruitment and selection of UXO personnel Providing technical guidance on UXO risk assessments and mitigation strategies Overseeing field operations, including surveys and clearance works Ensuring compliance with legislation, health & safety standards, and industry guidance Producing and reviewing technical reports, risk assessments, and method statements Liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders Supporting business development activities and client presentations
