About our group

Seagate is a global leader in data storage solutions. We strive to create precision‑engineered data storage technologies that deliver superior capacity, speed, safety, and performance. Seagate is where the future is read and written, with continuous innovation proving that a hard drive is not “just” a hard drive. Find out how we are shaping a new era of storage as we craft the datasphere.

As an industry leader, Seagate provides unique career opportunities to be part of today’s major technology shifts around the globe and on our website. This role offers a rare opportunity to directly shape the wafer‑level technologies enabling future magnetic recording platforms, working at the intersection of advanced R&D and high volume manufacturing.

About the role – you will

As R&D Wafer Process Integration Manager, you will lead the definition, integration, and maturation of advanced wafer process flows for future magnetic recording technologies.

* Own end‑to‑end wafer process integration for R&D and technology development programs
* Architect integrated wafer flows spanning lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, and metrology
* Drive technology readiness, process robustness, and integration learning
* Lead cross‑module trade‑offs to balance performance, manufacturability, and risk
* Translate device and product requirements into executable wafer integration strategies
* Partner closely with device, design, materials, and manufacturing interface teams
* Lead and develop a team of R&D process integration engineers
* Champion data‑driven root cause analysis and disciplined integration learning
* Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards are embedded in R&D execution

About you

You are a technically credible, hands‑on wafer integrator who has stepped into people leadership and wants to shape future technology, not just sustain today’s processes.

* Strong system‑level thinking across complex wafer flows
* Confidence making integration decisions under technical uncertainty
* A collaborative leadership style with clear ownership and accountability
* The ability to align diverse technical teams around a single integration narrative
* A genuine interest in developing engineers and future technical leaders

Your experience includes

* Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related discipline
* Strong background in R&D or advanced wafer process integration
* Hands‑on or technical expertise across:
o Lithography
o Etch
o Thin‑film deposition
o CMP
* Experience driving integration learning, yield improvement, and defect reduction
* Exposure to technology development, NPI, or transfer to manufacturing environments
* Strong analytical skills and comfort working with complex wafer data sets

You might also have

* Experience supporting next node or next generation technology platforms
* Background in magnetic, recording head, or advanced materials systems
* Familiarity with structured problem solving or design‑for‑manufacturing approaches
* Experience collaborating across global R&D and manufacturing organizations

Completed applications should be submitted no later than midnight on Wednesday, 8th April 2026.

This is a Full‑Time position working 39 hours per week.

Please demonstrate on your Cover Letter or CV how you meet the criteria set out in the job description identified above.
